The Carriage Group is a family owned and operated business with many of its key employees having worked together for nearly twenty years. The Carriage Group was founded in 1994 as Carriage Volvo in Gainesville, Georgia. Soon thereafter, the Carriage Group purchased the Nissan and Mazda franchise and later moved to its present location. Finding Nissan vehicles to be an extremely superior product for the Gainesville market, company leaders decided to liquate the Volvo and Mazda interest and concentrate on building the Nissan franchise.
Since that time, Carriage Nissan has become one of Gainesville's fastest growing automobile companies with a rate of expansion that is nothing less than tremendous. Over the years, we have acquired additional property to the right and rear of the existing dealership, and have expanded the showroom to three times its original size. These efforts have made us one of Nissan's flagship dealerships in Georgia with regards to their latest brand image.
Several years ago, the Carriage Group negotiated the purchase of the Pine Cove Shopping Center adjacent to the dealership on Browns Bridge Road. The property was converted into one of Gainesville's most successful state of the art collision centers and detail shops. Every Carriage Group service center, including the Collision Center, is filled with the latest web-based equipment to ensure our customers receive the best repair service available. In addition, our staff receives ongoing professional educational training and our equipment is continually upgraded to utilize the latest technology.
In 2004, the Carriage Group acquired a failing local import dealership on Brown Bridge Road that was renamed Carriage Mitsubishi. A great deal of resources has gone into reshaping the new dealership in order to mold it into another Carriage success story. New construction is scheduled to upgrade the dealership's facilities and equipment in order to support Gainesville's rapidly growing automobile market.
