Proudly Serving Cumming, Georgia

Cumming City Hall

Carriage Nissan is proud to serve Cumming, GA, one of the coziest cities in all of Georgia!

In the 18th century, the area now called Cumming used to be fought over by the Cherokee tribe and the Creek people. The Cherokee won the dispute after two years of conflict and coexisted with settlers until the discovery of gold in Georgia in 1828.

The gold mining industry helped Cumming thrive until 1848, when the California Gold Rush led the city to economic depression. Since then, Cumming has remained a relatively small.

For example, the area has become a popular spot for boaters ever since the Buford Dam was built in 1956 along the Chattahoochee River, creating Lake Lanier. Every October, Cumming holds the Cumming Country Fair & Festival. The Cumming Aquatic Center is a great place for families to teach their young children how to swim and for aspiring athletes to practice. Those with an affinity for literature love the Bell Research Center, where one can find thousands upon thousands of books, films, periodicals, reference materials, and other volumes that focus on Southern history and genealogy.

In addition, the relatively recent completion of George State Route 400 has helped turn Cumming into a commuter town for Atlanta. Of course, commuting requires transportation, and we’d be more than happy to help you get a reliable set of wheels for all your commuting needs at Carriage Nissan!
