2018 Nissan Rogue vs 2018 Kia Sorento

Proudly Serving Gainesville, GA

The 2018 Nissan Rogue is a rival of the 2018 Kia Sorento as two of the top mid-size SUVs in the industry. Both cars are favored among consumers and families due to their spacious interiors and stylish bodies. When you’re looking to purchase a new vehicle, there are a few factors to compare when making your selection.

Interior Features

The interior of the 2018 Nissan Rogue is upscale with premium materials used throughout the cabin. It offers a spacious, versatile cargo area that makes it easy to transport items while on the go or when taking trips. First-rate materials are used with styling that is sleek and modern. All of the materials are well-assembled, which causes the interior to look similar to a luxury vehicle. The seats in the vehicle are supportive but are still comfortable with plenty of legroom provided in both the front and back rows. A significant amount of tech features are also included.

The 2018 Kia Sorento has a solid build quality with a significant amount of premium materials included. It includes straightforward technology with comfortable seating in the first two rows with an additional third row that is available. Although extra seats are available in the third row, the shoulder space is limited and can make it feel cramped for passengers. Unfortunately, less cargo space is available in the Sorento compared to the Rogue, which limits the number of items that you can transport.

A significant amount of safety features are included in the 2018 Nissan Rouge, which compensates for mistakes that are made by the driver and reduces the risk of an accident. The vehicle earned high safety ratings with crash tests that were performed by the NHTSA and the IIHS. The safety features included are daytime running lights, integrated turn signal mirrors, blind spot monitor, cross-traffic alert, and electronic stability control.

There are a limited number of safety features in the Sorento compared to the Rogue, which affects the overall value of the car. Standard safety features include blind spot detection, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a surround-view camera, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and autonomous emergency braking. The vehicle scored well in crash tests performed by the NHTSA and the IIHS.

Exterior Features

The body of the 2018 Nissan Rogue is athletic and has modern features, which allows it to stand out on the road amongst other mid-size vehicles. Its aggressive body features sinuous lines, LED taillights, and sharp edges that cut into the rest of the body. The v-motion grille is one of the focal points of the Rogue. For convenience, power heated outside mirrors can make it easy to melt ice with an LED turn signal mirror included. 19″ alloy wheels are sharp and edgy, which add a stylish but rugged touch to the car. A panoramic moonroof also offers a view of the sky during the day or night.

The exterior of the Kia Sorento is stylish but is more minimal than the Nissan Rogue. The vehicle features a large grille, sharp headlights, and chrome accents around the windows and on the door handles. The car also includes 19-inch chrome-finish alloy wheels that have a 10-spoke design. Projector beam headlights look luxe and also increase visibility on the road.
