Nissan Sentra is the compact sedan that provides the zippy performance of a sports car at a price that will make you smile. Six trim levels along are available for 2019. All trim levels come standard with a Safety Shield Technologies package that includes Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Warning and Intelligent Cruise Control.

There aren’t a lot of differences between the 2018 and 2019 model years of the Nissan Sentra. The only notable difference is integration of the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on all models, except for the entry Sentra S, which offers it as an option.

Performance

The Nissan Sentra comes a standard 1.8-liter engine that develops 130 horsepower with a six-speed manual and 124 horsepower with the Xtronic transmission. A 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that cranks out 188 horsepower is available on the Nissan Sentra SR Turbo and the Nissan Sentra Nismo trim levels.

Appearance

There haven’t been any exterior changes in the Nissan Sentra between 2018 and 2019. But new for 2019 is the optional SV Special Edition Package. That adds a number of new features, including 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, rear disc brakes, Intelligent Cruise Control, Blind Spot, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, power sliding glass moonroof with tilt feature, center room dim lamp, dual illuminated visor vanity mirrors and Special Edition badge.

Features

The base Sentra S comes standard with cruise control, air-conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity, and powered windows and locks. The Nissan Sentra SV adds a 7.0-inch NissanConnect infotainment system with a smartphone integration systems that works with Android or Apple iOS phones. You can also order the optional SV Special Edition Package. The Sentra Sentra SR and the Sentra SL trim levels add a few extra features, including an optional turbocharged engine. The top-of-the-line Nissan Sentra Nismo add a bunch of sporty features to the interior, along with a stiffer suspension, side and rear lower body panels, with thin red stripe accents as well as double-wing aero enhancements.
