Five Films Set in Atlanta That You Should Watch

Maybe you are aware that some of the zombie apocalypse hit series The Walking Dead was filmed in the Atlanta area, but did you know there are plenty of films set in Atlanta too? Check out some of the big-screen flicks set in Carriage Nissan’s own backyard.



This feel-good, goofy comedy follows Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston as the couple leaves NYC and finds themselves joining a hippy commune outside of Atlanta.



This Oscar-winning film tells the story of protagonist Chiron’s life in three stages. For some portions of his life, he lives in Atlanta, but at other times, the film is set in Miami.


Catch Me if You Can

This true story tells the tale of con artists Frank Abagnale Jr., played by Leonardo DiCaprio. Much of the film takes place at the old Riverbend Apartments near Interstate 285 in Atlanta.


Trouble with the Curve

This baseball-themed film features Clint Eastwood’s who plays an Atlanta Braves scout trying to prove himself at the end of his career.


Ride Along

This action comedy follows Kevin Hart, an applicant at the Atlanta City Police Academy, as he goes on a 24-hour ride-along around Atlanta in an attempt to prove himself.
